I believe that there are some easy things we can actually do to help decrease the _massive_ pesticide use in this country. I believe this is virtually as important as climate change to the health and well-being of us all; particularly our _endangered species_, and our children! And I’m doing my best to make them easy.
I) The beautiful and famous Los Angeles mountain lion P22 was crippled by pesticides.
II) We are putting five times the volume of the entire Gulf of Mexico oil spill in just the active pesticide ingredients on this country _every single year_.
III) It takes just three little things to make a difference and doesn’t cost you a dime more than you donate now.
First) Please:
Start Questioning what the environmental group you send your money to really does.
And sign our petition to ask our environmental groups to publish this critical information from our national parks at change.org https://chng.it/NXBgPb7xfV
Second) Ask for your favorite organization’s concrete plans to publish reviews on the pesticide use in our national parks and critical habitats. (Included in the form letter below)😀
Third send an email from the links below to your favorite environmental group. Ask them if they make the important, beneficial, environmental FOIA data that they have acquired available online. If _any_ environmental group is re-hiding _any_ public information that they acquired through the FOIA act, than they are a major part of our problem not a solution. So look at the environmental form letter below and I hope you will send it to your favorite environmental group. If the Center for Biological Diversity is your favorite group you don’t need to do this😀 they already post their FOIA data in a searchable form. They Rock! 😀
Environmental Formletter.
Here are links to the most effective way to contact:
sierra club. “Email”
audubon society. “Email”
world wildlife fund. “Email”
Two at the same time what could be easier 😀
And if you are really fired up and want to make a difference contact your local vector control or park and rec office. Ask for their pesticide use data. I am quite sure they won’t give it to you. They’re willing to spray it on you but they’re not willing to tell you what it is. Fight for it. If you ever get it and need help analyzing the data I would be happy to help.
Be well my friends! We must generate #nonchemicalnodes !
