One of the best descriptions of deep sea thermal vent habitats that I have yet to see. And just as a fun fact notice when they talk about the type of animal that lives at 80° C I think it was an anemone (very close to 200 Fahrenheit! – I was once marked wrong on a biology exam because I said that just because we didn’t know of an animal that would grow\live over 45° C yet didn’t mean one didn’t exist laughing.
