We use our microbiological training, experience, and expertise to culture different species of small aquatic herbivores that feed on both surface-growing and free-swimming algae.
Most of the chemistry in a pond is produced by the microorganisms growing there. We use our knowledge of microbiology to stabilize the water quality non-chemically.
Maintain ponds for dozens of clients in southern California

Owner designed and built systems to collect rainwater and recycle household water.
Installed a water composting system to deliver more than 50 gallons per day of water from laundry, dishwasher, kitchen and bathroom sinks that meets and exceeds common municipal water discharge quality standards. This constructed wetland supports a wide diversity of aquatic life including dragonfly larva, tadpoles, frogs, diving beetles, and many other native aquatic organisms.
Water from the constructed wetland is used for all current irrigation needs, supplying a drip system to a garden and 50 fruit trees.
Collects rainwater in a 10,000 gallon pond/Koi system. 1 inch of rain yields about 1000gal. Due to the constantly changing water levels during the year, Bob designed a liner that withstands sunlight exposure and has other superior characteristics to commercially available liners.
